My SMAD 203 final project was to create an app that would benefit JMU students, while including design elements and design features.
My group designed an app that would allow JMU students to pre order their food, so they could skip the ridiculously long lines that would hold them up from getting to class, or force them to miss a meal.
We came up with a list of survey questions that we sent out to hundreds of students across campus, trying to get a feel for whether they would support our idea, and if it would actually help them.
We conducted our research, and received the feedback from our surveys. We grouped the response back before beginning the design process for our apps features in order to customize it to the most popular needs of our students
Our final steps were creating personas based off of our feedback that we would be able to base the guidelines of the app off of. We built these personas to resemble JMU students with the needs we would be able to satisfy with our app.
